According to its owners, “This garden is like the Lost Gardens of Heligan” [in Cornwall]. “The beds were already here when I moved in, but were hidden. This gardening project was a case of “resurrecting” its character, largely built in front of an original stone wall in the rear garden. Then, “after the plane trees at the front were pollarded to let in sun, we wanted to get colour into the garden quickly to provide an all year round display.
To give the back garden more character, it includes sculptures made by a friend who sadly has since passed. This results in a garden beaming with history and personal creative touches.
